cheese monkey bread

3 1/2 to 4 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 pkg rapid rise yeast
3 tbpn sugar
1/3 c grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp salt
1/4 c water
3/4 c milk
2 tbsp butter
1 large egg at room temperature
1/3 c melted butter

In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 1/2 c flour, 
yeast, sugar, cheese and salt. In a small 
saucepan, combine water, milk, and 2 tbsp butter, 
heat over low heat until hot but not boiling. 
Stir hot liquid mixture into dry ingredients. 
Stir in egg, beat until smooth. Stir in only enough 
of remaining 1 c of flour to make a soft dough. 
On lightly floured surface, knead until smooth 
and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. Cover, let 
rest 10 minutes. Divide dough into 32 pieces, 
roll into 1 inch balls. To shape loaf, dip balls 
in to 1/3 c  melted butter, in greased 10 inch 
tube pan arrange balls in layers. Cover, let 
rise in warm draft free place until double in 
size, about 30 minutes. Heat oven to 375f bake 
40 minutes or until brown. Let cool in pan on 
rack for 20 minutes. 
Serve warm.
